Private Health Insurance

The surgeons at Adelaide Bariatric Centre perform bariatric surgery for patients who have private health insurance that fully covers bariatric surgery. We also see patients who are looking to self fund procedures.

Adelaide Bariatric Centre surgeons operate at Flinders Private Hospital, Ashford Private Hospital, Calvary North Adelaide Hospital and Burnside Private Hospital. Endoscopy procedures are performed at Flinders Private Hospital, Ashford Hospital, Calvary North Adelaide Hospital and Burnside Hospital.

Dr Chisholm also operates out of Wallaroo Hospital and the Southern Fleurieu Health Service.

Wait times

Our current wait times for initial consultations are approximately two to three weeks, dependant on which surgeon you are referred to. Surgery wait times are around four to eight weeks.
